Tour details: Adelaide Biomed City (ABMC) is a $4.2B health and medical district in the heart of Adelaide, comprised of leading-edge anchor institutes and companies, which cluster and connect with start-ups, business incubators and accelerators.
The site includes The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) (one of Australia’s most technologically advanced healthcare facilities and the biggest Automated Pharmacy Distribution System), the South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), health and medical disciplines of The University of Adelaide and University of South Australia, and co-located healthtech companies.
Delegates are invited to participate in a guided tour of Adelaide BioMed City and meet with key leaders of organisations delivering services, products and capabilities in the medtech sector.

Tour details: Lot Fourteen is a world-class innovation district bringing together a curated government, research and industry ecosystem focusing on advancing the defence, space, hi-tech.

Tonsley Innovation District

Transport: Coach to Tonsley and returning to the Adelaide Convention Centre. Refreshments will be provided.
Tour details: The Tonsley Innovation District is a member of the Global Institute of Innovation Districts and is a leading advanced manufacturing precinct. With a long history of high-value manufacturing, Tonsley exemplifies how places, sectors and people can transition to new industries such as medical devices. The precinct is home to Flinders University, TAFE SA, medical device and electronics companies, as well as health innovation and services such as ARIIA, the Global Centre for Modern Ageing and Autism SA.
Delegates are invited to participate in a guided tour of the Tonsley Innovation District and meet with key leaders of organisations delivering services, products and capabilities in the medtech sector.

Medical Device Research Institute (MDRI), Flinders University and their key facilities such as the Surgical Skills Lab and Micro-CT Lab

Medical Device Partnering Program (MDPP), a national incubator for medical device ideation and development

Mawson Lakes | Australian National Fabrication Facility – South Australia

Tour details: Take a guided tour of ANFF-SA’s world-class cleanrooms, state-of-the-art Precision Engineering Centre and Industry 4.0 Testlab located at University of South Australia's Future Industries Institute, Mawson Lakes.
ANFF-SA is open to industry, researchers and academic users and the professional technical staff deliver high-quality devices with micro and nano sized features on time and within budget. They also deliver training enabling individuals to undertake their own projects or research.
Delegates are invited to participate in a guided tour of Mawson Lakes, hosted by the South Australian node of the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF-SA) and meet with key leaders of organisations delivering services, products and capabilities in the medtech sector.
Facilities and capabilities on show will include:
State-of-the-art photolithography, micromachining, hot embossing and bonding, micro-injection moulding, plasma etching, thin film coating, fluidic simulation, precision optics and advanced characterisation in ISO Class 5 & 6 cleanroom environments.
Hear from medtech companies who are unlocking the potential of nanotechnology using pioneering techniques in microfluidics, precision microfluidics, colloids and surfaces, microfabrication, advanced manufacturing, micro- and nanoXCT, Surface functionalisation, 3D printing, texturing and patterning, characterisation, micro machining, micro injection moulding and precision optics
